Canzoncine in onore di Maria Santissima – Scicli (RG)

"Le Canzoncine dell'Immacolata" (8 dicembre) rappresentano uno degli eventi della tradizione, atteso dalla città e seguito dai visitatori. Al limite tra il sacro e il profano e da sempre molto amate a Scicli, le "Canzoncine" mutano una usuale processione religiosa in un rito di devozione e divertimento. Accompagnate dalla banda musicale, la processione dell'Immacolata di San Bartolomeo è accompagnata dai fedeli che innalzano canti alla Vergine Concetta Immacolata, in assenza del simulacro della stessa. Il popolo è accompagnato dalla banda musicale, che a Scicli assume particolare rilievo per consistenza e qualità degli strumenti come dei musicisti.
La Regione Siciliana ha inteso accogliere "Le Canzoncine dell'Immacolata" fra i Grandi Eventi, e iscrivere la manifestazione così denominata nel R. E. I. , il Registro delle Eredità Immateriali. Le altre manifestazioni della città di Scicli iscritte al R.E.I. sono: Cavalcata di San Giuseppe, I riti della Settimana Santa a Scicli" (Settimana Santa e Pasqua di Resurrezione), Madonna delle Milizie.
